Quilted cushion

The BLENDER pattern oscillates between an architectural universe of volumes, shadows drawn by gradient lines; and a more organic, more fractal geometry inspired by nature.

The insulating properties and fabric strength of felted wool echo the concrete walls of Brutalist buildings, in which staircases, windows and balconies are regularly patterned.

The wool sheet illustrates this Brutalist paradox: rigidity and structure intertwined with the warmth and graphic poetry of pure lines and material.

The pattern is screen printed on both sides and then quilted with the sewing machine.

The quilting technique completes the interaction between the material and the design, as it brings the interplay of volumes to life in a tactile way, while adding comfort to the cushion.
